Our Story.

Who we are

Welcome to Florii Culture, we are a Regenerative Cut Flower Farm in Mount Hawke on the North Coast of Cornwall. Our aim is to grow exquisite cut flowers with the lightest possible carbon footprint.

We grow and harvest our flowers in their natural season. Because they haven’t been chemically treated for long travel, they are often wonderfully scented. Our farming style is always guided by careful stewardship—supporting biodiversity, enriching the soil, and encouraging pollinators.

This means no peat, no chemicals, minimal plastic, no floral foam ever, and as much rain-water harvesting as we can.

For a country famous for its gardens, it is surprising how few of the cut flowers sold in the UK were actually grown here.

Most cut flowers in the UK - around 85% - are imported, raised on an industrial scale in heated polytunnels with synthetic fertilizers, then flown or trucked across continents. We are part of a growing band of British flower farmers on a mission to provide locals with an alternative: glorious cut flowers, grown in a more natural, sustainable way, with zero air-miles.

Flower beds on the farm are created using the ‘no-dig’ technique. The land had previously been grazed continuously for decades and it was in poor health so to coax it back to life, cardboard was laid over tightly mown grass and then covered with tonnes of thick compost, leaving the soil below undisturbed so that worms could get to work and the hidden mycorrhizal networks recover. Each year, more organic matter is added. Our flowers now grow in rich moisture-retentive soil, which is teaming with worms.

There are lots of ways we can flower up your life.

Wholesale

From 2026, our flower farm is excited be able to provide seasonal, chemical free, sustainably flowers and foliage for wholesale. If you are a professional florist or local business, we would love you to register your interest. We are based in the village of Mount Hawke, Nr Truro, Cornwall.

Every week we will send out an availability list, detailing variety, colour, stem lengths and price. Due to the seasonal nature of flower farming, new varieties will flower every couple of weeks.

We offer bunches of 10 stems, 'Growers Choice' buckets, or we can pick to a colour scheme. Flowers are cut to order and fully conditioned. All flowers can be collected from the farm or delivered with a minimum order of £100 and free delivery.

Please note: all flowers need to be paid for on delivery.

DIY Flowers

You can order buckets of cut flowers to arrange at home. For weddings and parties, we can supply buckets of flowers in your chosen colours.

We have a vase-fill service, bring your vase up to the farm in the morning and collect it in the afternoon full of our beautiful, seasonal flowers and foliage.

There’s plenty to enjoy at the Farm too: The flower field is a space that we would love to share and for you to feel inspired by. Throughout the year we will run PYO flowers, workshops, private classes and events.

Please note: Because we only sell flowers that we have grown ourselves, we close the Farm to the public once the fresh flower season is over (end of November to mid-March).
